Mrs. AvududdiYellamma, 35 years, w/o. AvududdiSujji, is a resident of Narsimhulapet villagesince 20 years. She has two children one Daughter and a Son. Her Daughter name is Ms. Bhavani, 15 years, studying Intermediate 1st year in a Private college Vidwan Collegeand stays in Hostel at Hanamkonda. She sells Bangles in Shandies(in and around villages) and earns Rs.300/-per day. Her Husband, 37 years, works as drumbeater in Festivals, Marriages and special events in the nearby villages, he earn about Rs.5000/- to Rs.6000/- per month. The family has 2 diary units and getting 4 litres milk every day. The family sells the milk which fetches them income of Rs.6000/- per month. The average monthly income of the family is INR 12,000. She has been a Self Help Group (SHG) member of PragathiSevaSamithi (PSS), NGO since 8 years. Her savings track record is excellent and saved INR.15000/- till date. She took 5 loans for different purposes from PSS and maintained on time repayment track record. Details are as follows:

The family lived in the shed made with Tarpaulin sheets since 15 years. She wants to end the struggle and take all efforts to build a new home for her family. Her husband extended his support to full fill the dream. The family have vacant area of 2 guntas (242 yards) and she is the legal owner of the property. The family decided to build 276 sq.fthouse consists of1 Hall, 2 Bed Rooms, 1 Kitchen and a Sanitation unit. She started the construction in February 2016 and managed to build incrementally. The house is unfinished for almost a year.

When she heard about the KJ funding for Unfinished houses, she took all steps to get the financial support. Technical Officer of Habitat estimated the cost of proposed construction work ( Plastering, Flooring, Painting, Doors, Windows and Sanitation Unit) to INR 88,000. She received funding of INR 75,000 from KJ and completed the house in Dec2017. Her 2 years struggle ends on 30thDec2017 as she moved in to the New House.

The total cost of house construction INR.7.25 lakhs. The sweat equity contribution from the family is INR 45,000/-. She has utilized savings of INR 3.50 Lakhs and raised another INR 3.00 Lakhs from Chits to construct this house.She managed with the savings and chits to construct the house and not availed loans from outside.

She feels that their dreams come true. The family members are very happy. Now she has completed her house with required facilities i.e., living room, two bed rooms, kitchen and Sanitation unit. Her family living condition has improved and they are happy living in the new home.
